Hot dogs are very popular all around the world, especially in the US. It’s consumed by both adults and children. The reason behind its popularity is that it’s very tasty, however it contains very few nutrients for your health. A recent study showed that many people consume eggs, bread, coffee, milk and hot dogs for breakfast.

The American Institute for Cancer Research conducted a study and found out that if you regularly consume hot dogs, you increase the risk for colorectal cancer by 21%. Yet, so many people still consume hot dogs, despite knowing about this.

Also, studies have shown that kids are put under more danger if they consume hot dogs. Kids who ate more than 12 hot dogs a month have increased risk for contracting leukemia and many other diseases.

Here are some chemicals used in hot dogs:

– Sodium diacetate
– Mechanically separated turkey
– Sodium lactate
– Pork
– Sodium nitrite
– Mechanically separated chicken
– Less than 2% of salt
– Dextrose
– Flavor
– Corn syrup
– Sodium ascorbate
– Sodium phosphates

Further research has proven how many of these chemicals are carcinogen. Also, some other harmful ingredients that are used in the creation of hot dogs are animal remains. Some of them are: skins, animal feet, heads, fatty tissues and more.

The United States Department of Agriculture, under the Freedom of Information Act claims that many times hot dogs also contain parts of eyeballs, rat legs, glass shards, maggots, Band-Aids and disposable blades.
