Anxiety can cause such distress that it interferes with your ability to lead a normal life. This type of disorder is a serious mental illness. For people who have one, worry and fear are constant and overwhelming, and can be disabling.

But what if this “curse” comes with certain gifts that others don’t possess?

Scientists have conducted many studies concerning this condition and just recently they found out that upon negative effects, anxiety indeed does come with a set of powers too.

1. Life-saving instinct
Anxiety is a condition that has existed since ancient times, when people didn’t had so much control of their surroundings and nature.

French scientists found out that people with anxiety have a sixth sense when it comes to life treating situations. They found out that these people can detect threats in just 200 milliseconds!

So, since ancient times until today, people with this condition can react more appropriately in cases of threats.

2. Increased IQ
Researchers at SUNY Downstate Medical Centre in New York concluded that people with anxiety have higher IQs. This is mainly because, they always over-analyze the situations and their brains have to work harder.

3. Increased empathic ability
People with anxiety are always concern how other people feel. But, in a recent study in the University of Haifa, Haifa, Israel, Psychologists found out that this is heightened empathic ability.

According to the research, high socially anxious people “exhibited elevated empathy tendencies.”
In the study, researchers found out that not only they posses increased sense of empathy, but also they can accurately evaluate people’s emotions.

4. Sensing other people’s energy
Unlike the other ability, this one has not yet been scientifically confirmed. But many people, have confirmed the accuracy of this power.

Similarly to the empathetic ability, people with social anxiety may be experiencing those uncomfortable symptoms because they can sense the energy of those around them

To some people, anxiety can be triggered by the presence of low-frequency vibe person.

Maybe we need to ask ourselves is anxiety a disorder state of mind that most of the society is not used to it?
